a little about me
Dogs have played a significant role in my life ever since I can remember. Over the years I've had the pleasure of fostering, owning, and loving Shepherds, Lab mixes, Great Danes, Hound mixes, and now a Pomeranian mix. I've always been interested in the many different approaches to dog training. I started working in the animal care industry professionally as a dog walker in 2017. Spending my days with dogs gave me the opportunity to learn about their behavior, body language, and how to effectively communicate with them on a daily basis. However it wasn't until I started fostering my current dog, Kramer, in 2020 that I decided to take my interest in all things training to the next level. Kramer was riddled with behavioral issues and I became absolutely fascinated by the progress we made together after adding some structure, boundaries, and consistency to his daily routine. I was hooked! I've had the opportunity over the last 2 years or so to learn from a handful of talented dog trainers in the WNY area at private lessons, as well as assist in group classes. Their different approaches to dog training have helped me widen my skill set and think outside of the box when working with my clients and their dogs. I'm looking forward to helping dog owners improve their relationship with their dog(s) so they can live a more fulfilled life together!

This puppy training class was excellent. Cheryl was prepared to cover all the basics and gave tips to help reinforce the training. She spiced up the class with games for the dogs that kept their interest while still teaching commands. The class size was especially good. I have been to training classes that are so full, you are trying to keep your dog still for most of the class. This class was smaller which gave much more hands on training time and allowed for Cheryl to guide us and give personal training tips. Absolutely fantastic!
